Whichever one it is,it is not really rumour or news to professional pilots generally. We have a forum where somebody will be able to assist. Here it is.

I have no idea - I didn't get a pay chit yet (and neither were the details available to be me on my last day). JPA - it's a wonderful thing.

Since JPA I seem to get paid on random days - sometimes very early. My December pay was already in yesterday.

Before the "JPA is 5hit" brigade pitch up payday for UK accounts is the last (bank) working day of the month. For people paid into overseas accounts this may be different. Unless New Years Eve is a bank holiday these days (may be in Scotland?) pay day will (should) be 31 Dec. Unlike a lot of civilian companies who pay their peeps early in December to allow for the "oh my god the shops are shut for 2 days I must panic buy as if there is about to be a nuclear war".

Everyone in the military will be paid on the last working day of the month, which is the 31st Dec. It will be the same as the amount paid at the end of November.

Despite my JPA chit stating pay day as the 31st, I was paid today.

Question is, shall I delay telling the wife in order to deny her a Saturday in town blowing our money on 'sale' crap?

I think so! :E

Just to add to the confusion, I feel I should let you know that I have been paid today, the 29th of December.

I don't get it.

I was paid last friday. Mind you - I do have my pay sent to an overseas bank account (saves on the tax) so I generally get paid 2 or 3 days earlier than the rest of the guys in the squadron.
