Hi, i am 22, not yet started flying but cannot see completely out of my left eye :ouch: and so my field of vision is restricted on that side. Do any of you know what the CAA will accept as "normal fields of vision" - or how strict are they on testing FoV when at medical. It seems a bit of a dark area within the information they give out and when you call them to ask.
Although I do have a full driving licence with no restrictions, hoping that might help me.

Thanks for Help

I believe that the current standard is normal binocular vision (i.e. full visual field). A small defect in one eye is usually O.K. if it is not progressive and is compensated by the other eye. This is for class 1, they are more flexible for class 2. Testing is normally done by confrontation and if there is any doubt by Esterman.
