Just had a look at their requirements for pilots. It appears they require 1900 hours with 500 multi with a tertiary education being desirable. These requirements are even higher than Virgin and Skywest. In view of their reported shortage of crew, have their lowered their requirements or is their any consideration to do so?

Thats a bit wrong to say the least, i've heard of people going in with 300-400hrs, but with a rating for a metro or dash.

As long as you got a rating and pay for a job youve got one....correct me if im wrong.

Heard exactly the same thing. In fact i know of a couple of guys going there with a bare CPL and type rating....

Very costly though.

Most of the guys they are putting on now are cadets who are paying alot of money for the privilege of working there.

Well its most certainly not the FO req, so either Capt or an Old Req from yrs ago... back when they dictated and dominated!

Hey Wiz, have you ever thought about joining the dark side? You obviously have contacts on the inside and you could commute from Leo.:ok:

Nah, to hard mate. They want a real license and instrument rating, or something with a flash name like that. Besides, I still get scared at anything over 200ft.
