Can anyone point me to where I can download a copy of the current FTL's.
Looked at casa's website but there is so much info there that I think I have possibly found Emilia Earhart’s plane...but no trace of the FTL's

Thanks

Thanks I had a look at CAO 48.1...is this it?

Where is the section for Long Haul, recovery periods. Duty time vs number of sectors etc.

How many days off do you legally need after flying to Europe and back or the US and back?

That's it. CAO48.0 & CAO48.1

The CAO's are the bare minimums. I would think that time at home to cover time zone changes etc. (Longhaul flying) are probably negotiated between a company and the unions, and would be more generous than the regs allow!

ok thanks mate, I would say that compared to the rest of the world, CASA is way behind in FTL models. Maybe it it is better the Oz way non't Know!

Frogman,

Company specific limitations sometimes differ from the CASA ones and will be contained as a document in the company ops manuals.

I believe that what you are looking for would be found in the 'variation' to the CAO 48 Standard Exemption for Long Haul, and yes it will vary by airline:E

Gloriais18 thanks for that, slowly the picture is growing...all I need now is rest after a long haul...recovery periods between 2 long haul flights.

Maybe some QF guys could give me a point in the right direction.

Thanks
