Just wondered if anyone knows if Ryanair are planning to operate flight to Greece? There are also rumour that Ryanair are trying to take over Olympic Airlines or open a base in Greece. Does anyone know anything?

Tell me what is of value in Olympic for RYR:
-Old fleet
-Airport with no slot restrictions
-Highly political unionised workforce

With the aircraft on order RYR can start and whipe out Olympic in a few months.....

Don t forget that Ryanair was operating with 737-200 till 2005....
Aegean is operating with the second 737-300 made by Boeing...
Old airplanes are safe like new ones with good maintenance.
OA is still making good job on this with it s own maintenance departement.

Ryanair is welcome in Greece :) and can help aviation grow up in the eastern part of Europe, and make more people go fly.:ok:
