Using medication for Blood Pressure

Hello,
I know a lot is written about the subject blood pressure but still I have a question that I can't seem to find.
Is medication for reducing blood pressure allowed for FAA medical class 2 ?
Does FAA class 3 medical also have a blood pressure test ?

I don't know too much about the FAA system but I would surprised if they did not.

I know a person who is the holder of a JAA class 1 and his AME told him blood pressure reducing medication is accepted by the JAA to help reduce blood pressure as the side effects of these drugs are not as adverse as in earlier years. I would suspect the JAA would need to be informed though. With the better drugs the effects of high blood pressure is much undesirable than side effects in most cases.

CAA have a list of accecptable drugs for everything so would suspect FAA would.
My advice is to speak to your AME.

Some AMEs in the UK used to do the FAA as well. You might find it easier to call one of those than to speak to the US folk.

Call a few doctors in your country to see if they are FAA rated as well.
