Leslie G Frise - Bristol and Hunting Aircraft designer

Hi All,

Would anyone have any basic biographical information and a photograph of the Bristol and latterly Hunting Aircraft, designer, Leslie G Frise.

I am trying to compile some information about him,but have found very little about him and no photographs of him on the net.

During my research into Percival aircraft I found this chap who was in the Percival/Hunting design office until 1960. Might be worth contacting him. Also worth an advert in the Luton Newspaper?

Hi, I understand I am slightly late on this topic, only a mere 16 years, when I was only 5 years old. However, I wanted to ask if you were still interested in finding information about Leslie Frise as he is my great uncle. I have been researching into my family history as of recent and Leslie is by far the most prestigious among among those baring my family name. I would love to talk to you if you or anyone else whom this may interest reply. Hope to hear from you.

Belgian Air Force Pembroke notes say...First flown on 12th January 1954 by Percival test pilot Stanley Oliver with a Mr Sellens as observer, Pembroke (RM1 c/n 14, Fuselage number K66B 4001) made a short 10 minute flight but returned early because of undercarriage warning light problems. After further successful test flights and demo flights to the Belgians, on 17th February 1954, the aircraft was handed over at Luton by Chairman of the Hunting Group P.Hunting, Percival’s Managing Director W.A.Summers and Chief Designer L.G.Frise. Accepting the aircraft was the Belgian Chargé d’Affaires in London, M. Jean de Nieuvenhuys
