Does anyone have any info or contact details for this strip? Or the one marked on the WAC near Cecil Plains.

Thanks

Try Aero Tropics? I think they have the mail contract to Cecil Plains?

Gooday TW

Aero Tropics??? As in from CNS?

Cecil Plains is a little closer to you than it is to Cairns. The one South of Dalby I am interested in.

Thanks all the same.

Oops! Sorry. Mind in neutral. :uhoh: Had a feeling there is or was a cattle station in the Cape with the same name?

Cecil Plains 27° 31’ 48” South: 151° 11’ 27” East – a looong way from me! Can’t see a strip on Google Earth. Looks to be a long way from Dalby. Nearest may be Oakey?

a looong way from me!

Still a lot closer than the cape!

Might be a case of hitch a ride from YTWB:uhoh:

Try 27° 27’ 48.53” South: 151° 12’ 34.60” East. From Google Earth is appears to be a cross strip just north of Cecil Plains.

I said appears to be an airstrip - no guarantees it is!

Check with one of the Ag operators.

Pretty flash strip at Millmerran, only 40k's south - they did it up so Pete Beatty could fly in on the burner to open the power station:ugh:

What looks like a large grass strip in the scrub patch north of Cecil is in fact an old WW2 strip with fences across it! Not used for at least the last 20 years!

Millmerran is good though, contact mmn council.

There is a strip located about a mile to the west of the old World War II one. Get onto Sudholz out at Goondiwindi, they operate the odd charter into there every now and then if I remember correctly.
