Hi all. Need to find the video clip of the junction somewhere in the far east, it is a crossroads just full of cars and bikes/mopeds etc somehow all just missing each other. I think it was filmed from the roadside by a tourist or something.........

Can't find it for the life of me!

Cheers. :)

Was it this:- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=JD-dDyuSaRs

or this? :- http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8DV0XFIVZMY
(I think this is speeded up BTW - watch the pedestrians!)

Nah, neither of them, it was a crossroads, similar kind of thing but busier!

I agree with you, speeded up a little. But that is so quiet in comparison with the traffic in BLR. You'd have to wait until about midnight for it to get as busy as that. The evening rush lasts till around 2200. During the day it's a wonder to behold, like Brownian motion on a grand scale.

I think I know the one you are talking about BLR, I believe it is from China. I'll try and find it for you.

Then again it could be from Bangkok.

BRL,
Can nip in and film Horsham if that would help? Some of the Mk IV Dorises on lectric scooters can make it very dodgy on pension day.:)

(If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was in Bombay or Calcutta?)

ORAC, that is close but not the one.

I am sure it was filmed by someone maybe standing on a barrier next to the crossroads where all the action is.

I will keep looking for it, thnaks for your help chaps. :)

Perhaps a more detailed description would serve to help us to identify exactly which clip you seek (there are many out there and the search terms are important).
I recall one which was a view of a traffic-light junction (fairly close quarters) when a vehicle emerged from the side turning and was t-boned - but it was just a isolated event, not a melee of traffic. Did your video involve collisions?

The clip that I suggest was accelerated is variously accredited to Bangalore and also to Mumbai. It's undoubtedly Indian, though, because of the excellent Hindustan Ambassadors. At least the British Raj contributed something to the infrastructure (as well as the Royal Enfield I suppose - albeit now with a diesel engine).

Hi G-CPTN. There were no crashes in the film, that is the amazing bit of it considering how busy it is!

Brilliant one! I'm going to keep that for the game of traffic Top Trumps when some of my colleagues return from BLR for Christmas is a few days. :ok:
