I have recently flown with Ryanair to Dublin for the first time and was interested in why they do not allocate seats. It seemed to me to be a bad idea from a pax point of view. Everybody got to the gate and as soon as the flight was called there was a scramble to be first on board to get what they thought was the best seat. It seemed very pointless to me. Some of the business pax rushed on board and took isle seats, then glared at anyone who wanted to sit in the same row. They obviously thought they had the right to three seats !. I realise there must be a point to this procedure but the only one I could think of was to get everyone at the gate early. Any other idea's ?

JonahUK,. .. .You're dead right, the point of not allocating seats is to make sure people turn up at the gate on time. It is especially important for Ryanair to have flights boarded as quickly as possible due to the short turnaround time of only 25 minutes. . .. .Next time you fly with Ryanair, ignore people glaring at you and take the seat you want regardless of whether they want the row for themselves or not.. .. .I hope this has answered your question, regards,. .TFI

Thanks for the reply. I didn't add before that the flight was very enjoyable and I was pleased with the leg room given. The cabin crew(f) were the best looking I've seen for a long time. Nice one Ryanair !

Good to see am satisfied customer who doesn't join in slagging off the airline, which seems to be fashionable at the moment. . .I quite agree with you, the majority of the Ryanair cabin crew girls are among the most gorgeous women I have ever come across.
