My mate works for excel they are based at Gatwick and tells me they are looking to take on main crew and direct entry pursers as well. Probably need 2 years of flying experiance to be considered for purser. No idea of what the money will be like but the work is there and back charter stuff and special leases to clients which can lead to nightstops (Can be a few days - but these are not common). Aircraft are 737 - 800s mainly I think maybe other variants as well. That's about all I know but will try to find out more - will try to get a number to call but any more questions let me know as I see him fairly regularly
