Apart from the Observers report regarding massive layoffs, and some ground staff being told not to come in tomorrow,I heard an interesting little rumour the other day.
All ground, and PHI work is going to be farmed out to GH,AML is going to take on more LH work ,and to accomodate this expansion all LGW C/C with 2yrs or less in the company will be given the choice of going to AML or just going(dont have to pay any money then do they). And all those C/C who left will slowly tranfered to LHR.
Anyone care to comment.

A little bit of advice that has always stood me in good stead regarding any decisions being made or about to be made at BA about anything!!! .... and thats "Dont believe anything you hear until you see it in black and white!!!" :) "May the allowances be plentiful and the night stops never-ending!!!"

Spare a thought for the check in staff, recently a number of LGW staff on temporary contracts who were led to believe they were to be given permanent jobs were handed their notice by manager(s) whilst on duty at their desks - and management wonder why there is a morale problem in all departments apart from Waterside!

and by the way the 2 year rule regarding redundancy changed last year to one year.
