Hi,. .. .I have been looking through the previous posts re bmi and to be honest all that has been posted is how many hours you have to work for very little pay. Does anyone have anything positive to say about them or should I really give them a miss.. .. .Thanks. .. .Lips

Lips,. .Not being english "slavery" sounds like a quite heavy world to me . .Personally don't know working conditions & salary at bmi, but having flown before for a UK charter airline, I can tell you not to expect to get rich with your other choice either..... .Before making up your mind on "which airline" it sounds to me like you should decide if you really want to do this job!!!. .You posted on 21/02/02 you had to make up your mind on which one of the two companies (I understand you are in the waiting list for bmi due to course cx) but I just wonder if AIH is still waiting for Ms. Lips to give them a reply, 2 weeks later . .Isn't the course for seasonal cabin crew started yet?. . . . [ 07 March 2002, 19:55: Message edited by: Xenia ]

Xenia,. .. .I am so sorry if I have offended you or anyone on this site by my posting. It was not intended and was an actual quote from a crew member. I have always held bmi in high regard but only on face value as a passenger and I was disappointed to find that there has been many negative comments on this site about them and I was hoping to spur someone to pass on some positive information. As you can gather I have never flown before and was hoping to make the right choice I just didn't want to start one airline because the offer was first and then wish I hadn't. Maybe I should think before opening my mouth as such.. .. .Apologies once again.. .. .LIPS. .. .nB aih are not waiting any longer for a reply as I have sent a letter rejecting their offer and have decided to wait for bmi.

Lips, slow down...you didn't offend anyone (well, not me at least). . .You will learn that aviation is a wonderful but a tough world..... .No one can tell you what to choose as we are all different, and therefore have different ideas, different needs, and different expectations from life..... .I'd like to wish you the very best for the future, and let us know when your course at bmi start

Lips, I left BMI 4 yrs ago to join B.A. but still have fantastic memories of working there.. .I have many friends still there and would recommend you taking the job.. . It may not be the best paid airline in the world but you will have a great time (something I sorely miss)with people who are still relatively enthusiastic about the job.. .. .go for it!..and good luck
