View Full Version : Cutting CPL licence in half

No, this isn't an "I've HAD IT with aviation" thread... much simpler.

Finally got my little blue book through, and noticed that the first four pages are still attached to each other. If I put them, as is, into the CPL booklet, I can only see the outer two pages. Have others cut theirs in half, or left it as is?

It is a pants design isn't it? I went hard at it with a pair of scissors so at least you can see both sides now!

I checked with the CAA first though just in case it invalidated my licence :=

I dont think you did check with the CAA first-they do not recommend chopping it in half-that's a fact!

You've probably de-faced it.

Agree with it being a pants design

I initially gave them a call as I just thought there had been a manufacturing defect or something! My CP was fine but they had done something odd when the AT turned up.

I phoned them and you could almost hear her rolling her eyes...she just said to separate the two halves so you could see 'em in the wallet.

BTW this is chopping vertically up the spine, not hotizontally straight accross! It is probably just them trying to save paper to save the planet or whatever :suspect:
