people are all very nice trainers and management very approachable always arond and flyng to,
although its a wholy owned subsidery its not far off and there is talks of going mainline soon, at the moment we fly rj100 aircraft with club europe and euro travellr to 6 destinations going to 9 in may.

rosters are good most of the work is toruing so lots of nice night stops and not always min rest. this month i got two long madrids. dead head from lhr-mad/nightstop day two; mad-lcy-mad/ night stop then day 3 mad-lcy then off,
money isnt bad
but its well worth joning great company growing very fast with good pomotion and courses are in new year hope t helps

there is talks of going mainline soon

Talk by who? Not the management I'll wager:rolleyes:

BA will never willingly let the operation come under the mainline umbrella. That to them would be heresy, with the associated probable cost base increases.

we are the ones getting decent new routes with nightstops, also getting new aircraft
cant see willie walsh doing that for lgw and thats mainline, he cares more bout cityfluer cos the routes are higher revenue then lgw flights

Can I ask a rather indiscreet question?
What's the average take-home pay for a new-hire? (I understand it depends on hours flown).
Are there any good chances for promotion (Purser)?
Thanks in advance for your reply.:)

good promotion prospects especially if u flown before the take home pay varies but look on the website for full pay details

Any recommendations please for decent hotels nearby offering airline rates ?
{ I know there's a Night Stop Forum but as this thread is about LCY I reckon I've got a better chance of a response on here ! ;)

We use Crowne Plaza and Novotel. I am pretty sure we get the industry rate. I am not with Cityjet.

speedbird lgw, can i sniff some of the air you are breathing? The chances of Cityflyer being incorporated into mainline is minimal think about it, BA have the advantage of not having to give mainline terms and conditions , pay etc etc.and still have the BA name at LCY. Anybody who is thinking of joining Cityflyer always remember it is a wholly owned subsidary and there is NO right of transfer into Mainline it is not the ticket to a life of long haul and sunny climes.

yeh ok, we can still apply internally to all the jobs u can, our pay and conditions are better then those at lgw, some of our night stops are'nt far short of the long haul bullets lgw do to
