Does MCC go into the CPL Licence?

Hi there,

I am looking at CAA form SRG\1119. Page 2 of 2 reads

"Send your completed application form...together with...MCC Certificate"

Im applying for my Multi-IR but have not done MCC yet. I thought MCC does not have to go into the CPL licence ie. I dont need to make a formal application to the CAA?

I need some verification on this, as when I do complete my MCC - it might set me back another £108 if I need to apply to the CAA again!!

sounds interesting, I'd like to know the answer to this too. BTW applying for multiple licences and ratings in one go does that prolong the application processing time by the CAA?

The MCC does not go on your licence, it is a document required by multi crew operations and will only be asked for by your employer.

It is possible to have a type rating restricted to multi pilot operations, perhaps it is for that?

(just realised I haven't really given a definitive answer, I have ATPL and my MCC is not on that anyway).

Used to Fly is almost correct.

Your MCC is only needed for issue of your first multi crew type rating.
So for your SPA (single pilot aeroplane) ME IR you do not need an MCC.

The MCC is not featued on your licence, also remember someone with 500 hours multi crew experience on a single crew type (operated on a Multi crew AOC e.g. King Air, Twin Otter) can get an exemption from the requirement to do an MCC course, as could Flight Engineers.

SRG 1119 is a generic form for all rating/renewal from SEP to type ratings. So the MCC only refers to applications for multi crew type ratings.

I have a CPL and it says MCC in the back but no valid until date.
