Recieved this email today...strangely, they don't want money :confused:

understand why this mail came to you.

We have been having a meeting for the passed seven months which ended two days
ago with the former secretary to the UNITED NATIONS.

This email is to all the people that have been scammed in any part of the
world, the UNITED NATIONS have agreed to compensate them with the sum of US$ 100,000:00 This includes every foriegn contractors that may have not received their contract sum, and people that have had an unfinished transaction or international businesses that failed due to Government problems etc.

We found your name in our list and that is why we are contacting you,
this have been agreed upon and have been signed.

It never ceases to amaze me that people still fall for this sort of thing. I suppose the old saying is true: there's another one born every minute.

Usual thing. They will send you a cheque by courier. You are required to pay for the courier and of course the cheque you recieve will bounce.

Are you serious??

After you furnish them with your details they will phone you (reversed at premium rate) telling you that they can't do a draft give your account details. Either that or they will match your current name and address to the other details they have on you from a pair of CDs they have with 25 million other names and data on!
