At approx 1900Z, the islands in the Eastern caribbean from Guyana (not an island) in the south to Puerto Rico in the north were rocked by a 7.3 magnitude earthquake, epicenter 90 miles below TDPD (Dominica). It lasted about 90 seconds.
Only report of casualties from Guadeloupe. Some damage in Bridgetown BGI,
but no reports of additional casualties/damage elsewhere as yet.

Don't think they could be related, but anything is possible. This one was apparently 90 miles below the surface. Been hearing some more reports of light structural damage in the south of the island.
Unconfirmed reports of more extensive damage in Dominica.
What was the intensity of the one in NZ?

5.9 magnitude and was 150km deep. Just checking Google Earth to see if they may be on the same fault line?

Had a look. There are no common fault lines. We are on the edge of the Caribbean plate. Can't remember which plate we are grinding against - either the Atlantic or the North American.
