A far as I know new owwners are spanish tour operator Marsans and Air Comet. They are looking for local partners and also offering a 10% stock swap to employees in order to offset salary reductions. Further info: http://www.clarin.com.ar/diario/2001-10-23/e-01801.htm

Great for Aerolineas...Saw their 747 back in MAD the other day... But as usual, this doesnīt come without harm. As it happens, Spanairīs CEO is the new owner behind Aerolineas (also Marsans, Air Plus, etc), and, it may be coincidental, but Spanair is pulling out of EZE as of January 2002. As I said, it may be coincidental, but it sure stinks. All together Spanairīs 3 767-300, out they go, 60 guys "relocated" to other fleets and a number of F/O made redundant.

In any case, happy landings to Aerolineas and all the luck you can uplift.
