... everyone connected with Ipswich Town football club.
For the second leg of our UEFA Cup tie against Inter Milan there were nearly 10,000 fans travelling to and from Milan between Wednesday and and Friday this last week. Nearly all through the London airports, and somewhat more chaotic terminals at the Italian end.
I was SLF on a chartered Britannia flight with the Flight Options group from Stanstead to Bergamo and was amazed to see we had the same cabin staff on the way out (at 7am) and back (at 2am the following morning). I don't know how you chaps remain so cheerful and friendly for such long periods of time but thanks for putting up with hoardes of travelling tractor boys and girls in such a great manner.
In the end we got thumped 4-2 on aggregate by Inter Milan, but it was the third in a great succession of memorable European visits for us this year.
Thanks!
