If I was a betting man looking for a sure thing, I'd put my cash against the initial's oicur12 has given us.

Edit: re-reading my post, a point of clarification: that's "against" as in "up against", or "with".

GL (big) has already been announced as the 'interim' A320 Chief Pilot.

Of course that was last week.........

He must have enjoyed living in the sandpit if he only spent one year with EK.

Better get used to the fact, strobe 12, that it will NEVER go away!

Better get used to the fact, strobe 12, that it will NEVER go away!Concur.

Seems to me, all those that do wish it would "go away" share one "heroic" trait - even if they were too young to be real "heroes" way back then themselves.

What happened to the old chief pilot? Shafted by JG for speaking his mind.

Big GL is a very nice gentleman. He won't upset anyone and won't take a stand. I think he is to good for the likes of JQ management.

If indeed is GL then nice bloke and, yes, probably too good for the likes of pornstar management.

Can indeed take a stand - happy to be corrected but was in pornstar a few years ago, training captain, voted with his feet as trying to train with only 30 minute turnarounds was just bullsh*t.

A man with standards I would suggest!
Should be stuffed and mounted as a dieing breed! Few of us left!! :p

Rumour I'd heard - returning to pornstar as Introduction Manager (or whatever title) for 787, utilising his 777 sandpit time for the benefit of Qantas (sorry, pornstar.) :ok:

Galdian, you're right.

The role is still effectively middle management and the ability to instigate change is very limited - if any at all. There is a misunderstanding amongst pilots about the ability to effect change at that level of a business.
