Does anyone know if it is possible to do an initial Class One CAAC (Chinese) aircrew medical anywhere other that China. E.g. in England ?

Some UK Aviation Medical Examiners do FAA examinations in the UK, do any do CAAC Medicals?

I did find this link talking about Lima based CAAC medicals http://www.huaxun-hk.com/news01.htm (http://www.huaxun-hk.com/news01.htm) - Yes, I have sent an email to them.

Thanks in advance.

That's not a CAAC Class One medical check. It's just a quick look to make sure you havn't got any nasty infectious diseases or infirmities. The CAAC examination will take two one-day sessions and will make CAA and FAA exams seem like a walk in the park. I am absolutely certain it cannot be done outside China because they are signed up by CAAC doctors, not approved GPs.

Fareastdriver is correct. can't be done anywhere else except in China by CAAC aviation medical doctors.

Does anyone have the email address for Bejiing CAAC medical dep?Hmmm... And what are you trying to do? If they have one, do not expect an answer! Or whatever you need from one of the MOST inept Gov't departments or whatever they'll call themselves in China.

It will be easier to get an answer or find an organized structure at the China Zoo, ran by the monkey dept!:eek::eek:
