Hi there, just wondering if anyone can give me advice on which flight school is considered the best to use to train as a commercial airline pilot. I am UK based and shall be funding myself so really I want the best chance of securing employment after graduating.
Many thanks!

I guess this was no use to you?

Read before posting (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=131649)

You'll find school-specific threads:

Aerofan
Cabair
CTC (ATP)
CTC (Wings)
EFT
Flight Training Europe (Jerez)
Naples
Ormand Beach Aviation
Oxford (OAT Part 2)
Stapleford

... and many many more!

Depending on your money, circumstances etc it could be any one of them.

You need to do the pro training at a single school really i.e. CPL & IR

If you have the cash go for a Multi-CPL & Multi-IR. If you can get 1,000+hrs TT and 200+hrs on a twin you have an advantage over a 250hr pilot

Pass everything first time and you should get an interview. If you can't afford to buy 800hrs of hour building sessions then you might want to instruct.

Also a Type Rating with line training would be handy at £20k ... many are going down this route.

My advise would be apply to CTC only 2% of applicants get in and 99.99999% of those get jobs after graduating - Along with a big bill.
