Hi all,

I've got my JAA PPL(h) , including my ATPL exams, and am off to the US for some hourbuilding and my CPL(H)

my question: I believe i have to pass the FAA airlaw exam before i can start my hourbuilding & cpl modular course, but where/how do i sit the exam in the UK or US??

AFAIK you can take the exams here, just as you can take the JAA exams in the US. I mean i know there is definitely FAA examiners in the UK, can't see why they wouldn't let you take exams here too.

There is no FAA airlaw exam.

As far as flying over here goes, you'll need an FAA license which you can obtain on arrival at the local FSDO (assuming you've gone through the foreign license verification process).

You do need to do a flight review with an FAA CFI prior to being legal...minimum of 1 hour of ground and 1 hour of flight. After you get signed off, you'll be good to go.
