The licensing council approved 4 weekly frequencies for Comair on the London route. It is great news, if Comair is really interested in doing it. :ok:

if Comair is really interested in doing it.

along the lines that I have also heard.

Carrot in front of the vast lines of unsatisfactory and ready to resign pilots, afraid it will not do any more for most.

Obviously not helping to stem the exodus! Another 8 names being added to the EK interview list for December.

The grounding of the B732's by SACAA might be a blessing in disguise for Comair - they are running low on crew and this might just help for a couple of days to forget about their crewing woes!

Comair to the UK - will it be with DC10's or B727's?:p

Even if Comair does start up a long haul ops., this will only serve to make their pilots MORE marketable.

They have to start looking at the T&C's of their aircrew.:ugh:

They will need to GROW the pilot numbers if they want to do this, at this stage they can hardly keep it stable..............

But then, the guys and gals at Comair have heard this all before......a couple of times. I'm sure they wouldn't be falling for an old tired carrot like this one ............

They are finding it difficult to maintain the normal schedule due to a shortage of crew. The December period even more so - rosters are late again.

Expect news on them obtaining a wet-leased aircraft for the festive season to ease the situation.

seen the same notice, good intentions but reality will probably be totally different, "to ease the situation", no way, same over-worked schedule for the locals, definetly no "relief", all that will happen is that additional capacity is created by the "wet-lease" so that more $$$$ can flow into the accounts of ??. and what happens when the "wet-lease" goes technical/"US", even more nightmare FDP's and reshuffling. not holding my breathe on this one.

For who, Comair or Kulula? Apparently they received 2 737-300 and 2 737-400s in the last two or three weeks, with the 733 currently operating in all-white scheme, while the two 734s is in for paint-job and checks...? Could be wrong though.
