Bluey, the bright blue potatoe bags that we work in at our mob are neither form fitting nor elegant. It gets even worse on board, where we have to wear dark blue serving dresses that effectively hide the body from sight,
Private alteration can slightly improve matters, but sexy it ain't! :)
SAS changed uniforms last year. During the whole process, representatives of those who were going to wear the uniforms were involved. The result is a very functional and smart uniform! No more bloody shirts to iron, no more freezing your b*tt off in the winter, no more melting & wilting while wearing New Lambs Wool in the tropics.
They look smart, and they are very happy with their new outfits! Functionality can be can be coupled with good looks!

PS: Met an Easy Jet crew at the hotel in Nice last week, and looking at what that poor Cabin Crew had to wear http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif , my own uniform suddenly didn't seem so bad anymore!
(Captain turned out to be a fellow Ppruner so a lively conversation ensued at 0430 AM over brekkies :) )

Sometimes the only time I am comfy in our uniform is when I am imagining a cabin fire when running through the "30 secs silent review" before take-off. Double breasted jackets seem so out-dated now!
