I am wanting some information on legal and workplace representation in the UK. I am aware that my union is Amicus however, I am not a member and therefore they will not represent me. If this does become a legal matter does anyone have any information on what lawyers/legal firm would be best to contact in the UK? Also, is anyone aware of whether or not amicus will let you pay separately for their representation?

If the matter involves you and your employment then I would strongly suggest that you join your union.

Other than that, you may be best advised to approach the Citizens Advice Bureau. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
