Plenty of anecdotal evidence about to tell us that punters are confused by Melbourne (Avalon) being further away from the Melbourne CBD than Melbourne (Tullamarine) by something over $50 in a cab.
Presumably QF Group via JQ had dibs on the official (IATA) name.
Wonder if they would now prefer Geelong (Avalon)?
