Hey Mark!

They're ALL coming!

There's going to be a bunfight over pilots!

The Oz market needs 1000 ALTP's for next year, and with the new english testing the SA market is the best place to find them (heard they've tried the Ukraine!)

Well, this is a RUMOUR network.................;)

PS. how did it go with EK?

Went very well. Start in Feb 08. Still many guys at Comair looking at their options so was wanting to give them the gen about the roadshows, particularly the Oz airlines. Any details available?

I think Australian law and the unions on that side will prevent the airlines from recruiting until such a time as the law and then the unions are satisfied that all Australian resources have been depleted.

I have heard the rumours, but nothing more..................

I am starting with Jade 1st Dec 2007. My advice to all : apply and see what Jade says. Do not stare yourselves blind at the requirements. They know where you are coming from. A few South Africans have passed the selection and they would like to see more of us over there. It is worth it!

Jade will be in JNB from 5Nov2007 and they want to see as many as they can.

Good luck!

Spoke to an Aussie pilot yesterday - rumours there abound that pilots will be added to the work visa list, but not at this time, - with the exception of Surveillance Australia (Coast Guard). The sheepshagger pilots are vigorously defending the addition of pilots to the accpetable work visa list with the intention of forcing pay increases. A little shortsighted, but maybe good for us, as if the salaries do go up, - they will still not be able to meet requirements, and believe me, if I could even get a King Air job there I would be gone so fast my SA licence would not even have touched ground!
While no countrys CAA is perfect, what a joy not to have to deal with the incompetance of African ATC's and the money grubbers in Kinshasa!

So we may have to share the skies with some sheep shagging bum rugby players.... lbut life could be worse! ;)

In the aplication they ask where you would like to be interviewed.

One of the choices is Johannesburg.

777 Ratings preferred but not needed.

One way to get out of SA and not into the sand............?
