WikiWorkRules: The Ultimate List
There are a million ways to withdraw your cooperation. I do not know them all. I know some and between us we can build the ultimate list.:E
CX Shop Steward kicked us off with the following. Please add yours to build our own WikiWorkRules!
Refuse to fly freighter flights. This is important. Management will back away from their ASL/FACA plans at the last moment – rumor is the company is in disarray over this huge legal own goal. If they do back off, freighter flying will still be voluntary.
Do not answer the phone. Don’t help crew control out by giving them a solution to the crewing crisis.
Do not operate into discretion. A captain’s right not to operate into discretion cannot be questioned.
Do not work on a G-day. Even if it is favourable to you.
Do not check Crew Direct or call crew control, except on those occasions you are required to.
Discourage new joiners from joining under the “C-scale” of CoS08. (48K less in USAB.
Discourage new joiners from joining a company where 17 years to Command is probable.
Know your rostering rights/obligationsANO: prohibits a person acting as a crew member if he/she knows or suspects that he/she is suffering from, fatigue as may endanger the safety of the aircraft.
Delayed Reporting Time: Can only be delayed 4 hours – FDP clock then starts.
You should be positioned in 1st/Business as per your contract –DO NOT accept a lower class DO NOT position on the Freighter.
CC must give you twelve hours’ notice before being given the revised start time of the Reserve Duty. (DON’T CONTACT THEM EARLIER, if you can possibly avoid it).
Change of a Duty? May be assigned Reserve Duty. But where the change of a Duty is with less than twelve hours’ notice, the time of start of the Reserve Duty will reflect, as closely as possible, the time of start of the Duty being changed.
A Flight Crew member may be assigned a Duty that starts prior to the start of a Reserve Duty subject to a minimum of twelve hours’ notice being given before the start of the newly assigned Duty.
The Company will notify Flight Crew members in good time of their FDPs so that sufficient and uninterrupted pre-flight rest can be obtained.
“10 Hours in the hotel” rule. Does not apply if rest required >12 hrs.
Physiological Rest requires at least 14 hours and a proper sleep opportunity.
Can only revert to normal rest for major disruption to operations with consequences beyond the capability of the published roster. Permission required.
What have you got :):)
