Hi,
Where are you located? If in the south, speak to Irv Lee at Popham. He is an excellent instructor with SA instructor license. He handles all the stressfull paperwork and everything. All you have to do is turn up and fly and pay. Very convenient! If you have flown 3 hours P1(solo) in the last 12 months, you should be ok.

You can find him on: http://www.higherplane.flyer.co.uk

SA MEDICAL: AMS Gatwick does South African medical examinations. They are located at Gatwick, and at the Arora hotel at Heathrow on Wednesdays.

I did my revalidation a couple of months ago. Very easy.

Let me know if you need more information.

Hi Echokiloecho,

Thanks for the information, it seems very straight foward. I have not flown since February 2007 so i guess i would need some hours.I am in Manchester and i never flown in the UK.Can i fly in any other club till i am ready and then do the test with him?

Thanks again

If you have 3 hours P1 in the last 12 months, you can just do the renewal test flight, but if not, then just join your local flying school and after the club check flight, just fly 3 hours solo then it will be fine. You can fly at any flying school in the UK on your SA license (as long as you fly the type of airplane you are rated for in your logbook C172, PA28 etc.)

Yes, you can fly at any flying club. You only have to fly the 1 to 1.5 hours revalidation flight with Irv Lee.
