Can any of you out there give me an idea of what you get in the corporate world for meal allowances, i.e breakfast, lunch & dinner? Also what is the "normal" rate for HOTAC per night?

Been trying to get my employer to be a bit more realistic, but I could do with some ammo.

Thanks

Meal allowances (when not eating on board) come out of the per diem which currently runs at £46. This odd amount is allegedly that deemed by Inland Revenue to be sufficient and therefore not taxed but I'm beginning to wonder if this should be raised.

Don't know about hotel rates but minimum four star is industry standard. Oh, breakfast included.

Currently I get £45 to cover all meals. I agree with you this need to be higher. I am struggling to get anywhere near 4* Lucky to get anything better than a "travel lodge" type place down in the SE, not to mention most of the popular places around Europe.
