Corporate in Europe

Hey guys, lets see where do I start... Id like to fly corporate, and from a few people I have heard the opportunities in Europe for this seem to be out there. Where do I start? Where can I get good info on this, and what is a good place (website) to look for jobs?? I have FAA license and have 1000TT of that 400 is tourbine. Am I marketable there? Any advice would help! Do you have the right to live and work in Europe? If no, then it is a no. If you do, you may find a N reg aircraft and that will be ideal for you. If you want to fly European reg aircraft then you will have to sit the exams and complete a checkride. Easy really, we've all done it.

Thats right. But if you do have the right to live and work in the EU, I would strongly recommed you to get a JAA-lisence. There is a lot of jobs available, and since you have turbine time you would be amazed obout possibilities one might get even with low experience.

Thats what I have heard, that there are good jobs with low times. Where is a good place to start looking for these jobs? As for N registered aircrafts... are there many opportunities, or are they hard to come by? And what are my chances with my time?

Your level of experience can be an issue with the Private Jet operators...the insurance companies that look after the Rich and Famous quite often have a minimum requirement of around 2000 hours including some jet time for a co-pilot.

The Netjet / Charter operators may have lower requirements - but that will be JAA.

As mentioned before, if you don't have the right to live and work in EUland, then it's not worth the risk of being caught and encouraged to leave and never return...

Sadly, rasec you will join a long list of wanabee's already based in Europe that are trying like you to get their first job! The only differance is they are Europeans with the right to live and work in europe! There are lots of corperate jobs around but mostly for experienced pilots don't think corperate is a good place for your hour building! Corperate Aviation in Europe is changing,its now becoming the sector of choice amongst experienced pilots judging by the number of 10 000hr plus pilots that have applied to us recently.

Most European corperates have also realised that they need to have the most experienced pilots they can get, and are paying for this, in order to achieve the saftey standareds they require.

Getting that first good job ios a nightmare I know I've been there. however it is usually far easier to get your first job in your own country so concentrae your efforts there rather than go charging all over the world based on rumors!

UnableRNP... is correct. I know of a 14 000 hour type; TRE, Worldwide Long Haul command experience etc etc etc, Oh and some Corporate Experience to ensure entry to 'the' club... about to make the career move. And I suspect/know there's more from where he came from.
The Corporate World is changing it would seem, nice position to be in; to have experience 'knocking on your door'. Many airlines are screaming for experience and quality for the LHS, some are suffering for the lack of it!

The quality of life available in todays airlines is sh1t! Just got of the phone to a mate in the orange order (20:00hrs )and he was off to bed already looking forward to an early start( 03:45 )makes my early start tomorrow(08:00) look great!

For thius reason alone many heavy drivers are banging our door!
