How much does it cost for an airbus type rating? what is the time period involved for the course? where can I get the cheapest self sponsored type training? Are there any training facility in Asia?

I'm guessing that you want to secure a job in India. Presumably with either KF, DN, IA/AI or 6E.
If this is the case all these guys will also need atleast 100hrs on type as well. This is certainly the case with DN, KF & 6E. I'm not so sure about Indian Airlines.
You'd be better off applying to them directly, getting them to rate you & subsequently bond you for a period of time.
If the above does not fit in with your scheme of thinking then ignore what has been said. BTW, Airbus Miami are currently doing a rating for $12,500.

12,500???
That's less than the half here in Europe!!
Do you have a website or more information about them?
(I'm not thinking of paying a HT, but I want to be informed about it)

Sorry, I don't. This was news given to me by a guy I fly with, who's son is doing it at the moment in Miami.
I hope he got his figures right. I must admit that it sounded a bit cheap. However, I don't know about this sort of stuff - I didn't have to purchase a rating to get a job.
