Kia orana,

What are Air Nelson's minimums at the moment? Pay? Conditions? Progression time to command? And most importantly, are they hiring? I have around 1600hrs TT 1200+ multi turbine

Cheers:ok:

You would certainly meet their minimums, I think a new F/O starts on high 40s plus allowances of around 10G, can't help with the rest sorry. You could possibly even set your sights a bit higher with those numbers. A bit more total time may get you a look in at Mount Cook.

One Question Please

I've been out of NZ for sometime now...(Thinking of heading back)I'm out of the loop re: Air Nelson, Mt Cook etc.

Is there a website that you can use to apply for Air Nelson and Mt Cook. I've used the Eagle one resently but can't find one for the other two .... or is it just a case of calling up their HR people.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies cloud cutter. How does one get a hold of the HR department at Air Nelson? Or do they have a website based hiring system like StaffCV?
Another thing... Are they picky when it comes to PIC time? I only have just over 200hrs.. Reason being, i was lucky enough to get a turbine job in the islands after only 6 months as C-Cat :}

You just ring up their recruitment lady, used to be Sandra Bennett, I'm afraid I don't have the number any more but I'm sure someone else will PM it to you.

I don't think the PIC time would be an issue providing you have the requirements for ATPL (which it sounds like you do), but that's something you would want to discuss with them when you ring for an application form.

You can apply to Mount Cook through Pilot.StaffCV.com, or they also accept paper CVs. You'll find their contact details on the website.

I hope this info is still correct, I'm a bit out of the loop so someone else might wish to add details.

Happy hunting ;)

I have it on good authority that Mt Cook like paper CV's:)

Sweet thanks mate. Will look into it. Have all my ATPL subjects, almost ready for flight test, just short on night hours. Is the requirement still 100hrs night? Any idea what sort of timeframe to get a command?

Air Nelson's phone number is 0800 AIR NSN (0800 247 676). This is only for NZ callers I think. Don't know the pay phone number...
