Just released by a Brisbane highly professional film maker this hour long doco follows NZ Cat skipper Brett Emeny on a thorough pre-flight as he walks the wing and the tailplane. (Surely a one time hire wire artist or at least boyhood gymnast.)
Then he and his unidentified co-pilot fire her up, taxi out, and pop over to Lake Taupo for a couple of circuits. The patter is excellent and you know this man not only knows the Cat inside out and has a deep affection for it, but also can impart this attachment with warmth and good humour. (As a lesson in polished two crew operation it falls a little short, as the lady in the right seat, who may put some viewers in mind of a certain Ann Drogynous, does tend to forget call and response and usurp the skipper just a tad now and again. But she cannot be faulted for general awareness and lookout.)
