Dear all,
Currently working UK operations controller with aircraft dispatch experience.
Relatives in the States - thinking of hauling ass, willing to do the FAA thing.
Anyone out there give me any idea of approx pay and conditions for dispatchers or ops staff?
I love you all.

Ref your enquiry for pay conditions for Ops work in the USA. Well I am working for a Air Ambulance compnay in the USA earning in the region of 40-45K USD depending on experience as well. I got my FAA Dispatch Lic last year from AFDTC in Dallas and then moved to the USA earlier this year from the UK.

You might also want to check out my "Will Dispatch For Food" website at http://www.ps1fplan.com/wdff.htm
It contains data on starting pay, conditions, benefits, at a lot of US airlines.

The numbers are about right, at the moment
Transmeridian (supplemental) is starting
dispatchers at 30K USD and going up after
6 months. Most carriers will be at that
mark - however your not going to get hired
by DAL/UAL/AAL etc etc unless you know some
one then your going to be a Slojo for a long
time. Supplemental carriers are the way to
go, your more on the lines of a European Ops
controller/supervisor than just pushing tin
around for eight (or in our case ten)
