Bros',

Don't be fooled by promises, there are still tons of it undelivered up to now. This is just another "tactical gimmicry" by the management to delay you or the most marketable pilots amongst you to move-out. Remember that your precious time is running out as well as your opportunity to "get-in" to any of the Best Airlines around that suits your qualification as well as your worth. It's a fair game and the market for qualified Pilots will close soon when all the vacansies are filled-up. Delay means opportunity lost.

Let the Airlines that "PAY PEANUTS, GET MONKEYS", coz' they deserve it.

BUT NOT YOU...:ok:

Better Deal - options to move up to bigger A/C (777?) later - and a good young team with huge growth opportunties............... And a management team that respects and supports the key contributions of all - especially the pilots...........

arigato, sadly, may be correct. look what 5J management did to the engineers. promises promises so they won't go to Airphil, but up to now, no improvement. instead, MB hires expats who cost 10x more than the locals!

looking at that record, i think 5J will try to bluff their way into not giving in to most demands from the pilots, and some pilots will leave anyway. then the vacancies will be filled with expats who enjoy at least 5x higher salary+perks, and the pinoy pilots who decided to be loyal will still be waiting for their promised pay adjustments. what a shame....

why does the livery seem too small?

well, i guess it's time cebu pac got some serious competition for passengers AND crew! they have become too compacent the last couple of years that PAL was the only one they had to beat.

then next yr we have "chismis" abt airasia and jetstar also eager to get a slice of the philippines' soon-to-be 20 million aviation passengers market. oohhhhh that's too exciting thinking abt it now...:ok:

hey cebupac guys salary for your A320 is too much way ahead compare to seair 328, what more to our A319 so just think if you have brains do the mathematics airforce guys. i apply in your company but then i realize i dont have future in cebupac so what now! the world turns up and down we have the A319 and your pilots is very eager to join our family.

Mr. i-realized-bupak-is-not-good-enough-for-me, note your errors:
- an A320 does not earn. it's an airplane, SIR.
- learn to use the the word "THE". it wont hurt.
- take note of the past tense. like i applied and i realized.
- pilots is? or pilots are?

it's not because you dont like bupak. IT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT A PILOT. Get english classes from a college like Ateneo, you surely need it :ok:

arigato
4th Mar 2011, 09:47
Here is the trick!!!

They gave you additional "chippy" then made you their "prisoner" by curtailing your freedom to leave with the "90 days separation notice". Watch-out for more tricks... :hmm:

Trick counter!!!

As a rated A320 Captain, your "NET MINIMUM PAY" after taxes right now is around P360K (80 block hours) in addition to a considerably nice TC with Air Asia Philippines. Yet, you are working at HOME.

Again, would you consider this an IMPROVEMENT?

Maybe, if it was implemented 5 years ago. :)

Therefore, a very "BAD JOKE" !!! :=

winglet777
9th Mar 2011, 08:05
As of mar 1, a total of 46 pilots have resigned fromthe company within the period oct 2010 to mar 1 2011.. These pilots are now the workhorse drivers of tiger , airphil and zest airbus fleet. Alarmed by the exodus, the owner and mgmt immediately raised the salary on the 1st week ofmarch by an average of 18% pay rise on the productivity pay translating to an average of add'l U.S. $1300 for airbus captain and $ 900 for airbus fo respectively (figure is before tax), To make the offer more sweeter, and with the record breaking profit year for cebu pacfic, the owner awarded all pilots and employees an additional 2 months bonus (14 and 15th month pay) as part of annual profit sharing bonus on the company's 15th anniversary last mar 8 .

But this incentives comes with a price,in return, the company wants all the pilots to sign and employee-employee agreement before the apr 1 effectivity of pay increase stating therein that you are amenable to a 90 days resignation notice to the company (in contrary to a 30 days period mandated by law)

Still the increase was short of evryone expectations and still way below the salary range being recieved by airphil, sea tiger and zest airbus crew. With the mgmt refusal to show its sincerity in raising the working conditions, improving the pay and its unconditional determination to preserve its pilots, pilots moral is still low and everyone wants to go out if opportunity permits. As such, 5 airbus captains and 5 f/o's have submitted their resignation yesterday to join their former cebpac comrades in tiger sea air. Total count so far as of mar 9 is 56 pilots resignation. We expect more exodus since a total of 30 captains and 20 f/o's passed the air asia interview and due for sim eval in the coming days. We dont know whats the future holds for cebu pac but im petty sure that more flt cancellation and parked aircraftwith no crew to fly.

5J has a seniority system in place which management respects (most of the time at least). Whenever the need arises, FOs are upgraded according to seniority provided the FO is qualified. An evaluation process (which varies according to the Chief Pilot Training's whims) is conducted then the upgrade candidates are selected based on the results.

The shortest term on record prior to upgrade would be around a little less than a year from right seat to left. At present, there are a few senior 4 year FOs who have yet to be upgraded. Most of the senior FOs due for upgrade have been with the company for about 3 years.

Expect to fly 90 hours a month except during the months of your ground and sim recurrencies and license renewal when you would be flying 70 hours. Typical week would be 5 days flying and 1 day off followed by 1 day home reserve then 5 days flying.

Local hire Airbus FOs expect +/- Php120k-140k take home per month depending on your seniority (merit increase system).

takamasa
21st Apr 2011, 04:26
that's why they are always quick turnaround, never leave their planes at the outport.

90 hrs a month isnt bad at all, people can earn their experience as quick as possible, may move on to different airlines in the nearest future.

how about length of the contract for local hired?

Can anyone please tell me the present salary for captain in Cebu pacific after tax etc etc. take home ???

Jaz and the Fat Man
28th Sep 2012, 22:20
New Capt pay for local and expat is about $5,000 per month net. That might flex +$1000 depending if you fly 100 hours etc. If you have several thousand hours of PIC on the 320, and are an instructor, you could see it creep up into the 7,000 range but no expats can teach. Actually, this is good money if you are local in the PI and have spent your life there.
