...have to go there in early novembre, anyone been there and can advise on...
airport, hotels, etcetc.
Handling will be Berkut I think, or is there any better company around?

Atyrau is absolutely fine, been there several times. Our handling is arranged through either FERAS or Rusaero, always been a good standard.
Theres a brand new Renaissance hotel there which is fantastic!!!!!

Renaissance Aktau Hotel is rated 4* and is 15 miles from the airport.

Reccommend you arrange handling through Streamline or FERAS
Note : airport is not 24 hour, nor is it an airport of entry.
9000ft concrete runway, with VOR/DME, ILS and NDB

Geoff, just checked my Jeppview...appaerently it is an Airport of entry...and H24 OR by NOTAMS.
Is there something Jeppesen doesnŽt know? Well, IŽll check with Handling.
