So - personality profiling seems to be a huge part of modern interview techniques, through various methods. As someone who probably doesn't completely conform to the classic 'stable extrovert' type often mentioned, I'm wondering just how important these are. Will someone who is more introverted -for example- always have a disadvantage in job applications, or is it quite possible to be accepted by an airline whatever your personality, as long as you prove you have the necessary skills and qualities? I'd appreciate your viewpoints and experience on this.

Thanks, I hadn't found that post in my searches - the bit about the psych testing was certainly helpful, cheers! If anyone has any other info or experience that would also be welcome, but it looks like I shouldn't worry too much about not having an exact personality type.

The stable bit of it is quite important but I wouldn't worry about the extrovert bit too much. All you need to be able to do is to communicate effectively and to get on with other people. It doesn't mean must have a bubbly personality.
