Hey all,

Has anyone heard anything about a new Low Cost out of Bahrain?

I was told that there is a new licence available to a low cost operator and that a new airline called Bahrain Air and a company called BexAir are competing for it.

Grateful if anyone can shead any light.

I could make a simliar CHEAP and relistic site, And the so called interview with the head is a lie, notice the way www.flyajwaa.com (http://www.flyajwaa.com) has Untitled page as its header? and also the same pic 3 times, And just a simpe notice of:
With golden sun...and blue sky .. AJWAA soon will fly!
Site under construction
Will be ready soon.

So on a site like that it should have "will be ready soon" lol
All lies!

They cant give up on Gulf air like that, Think about it is soon to be 100% bahrainai so why would the goverment allow such a thing, and Bahrina airport cant be its hub.

Is it true that Gulf air will be making flights to manchester and other places, Says it on wiki!

That airline is a FAKE!
The talk with the head FAKE "got in contact with GDN"
You can tell by the website.
It hasnt got proper english "will be ready soon" WTF????
Also that cheap images can be made in adobe.
I dont think the Bahrain goverment would give away licences to competition like that, And would let Gf loose evern more $$$$
it is a load of s:mad: and GF will be the domanater of the skies one day.
I could hire an ukrainan guy to make it for ess than $200.

Hi There;

There are strong rumors that Bahrain Air will begin operating in January 2008 with A320 aircrafts then in a later stage it will replace Gulf Air.

Anyone can confirm this rumor?

Thanks guys

Is that January 1, 2008 or January 31, 2008.

If it is the latter then it will have three full months to commence operations.

The IATA code AW appears to be taken by an indonesian domestic carrier already.

Definately dodgy:suspect:

Ah, an ex-Gulf Air PCE. Had heard the rumour a few months ago that he was behind it; I guess if the web site is registered to him then this may be more than a rumour... well maybe one day.

Ummm. I am sure he did make some more money than he earned by flying as a Captain in Gulf Air (including the overtime, when he should have been in the office).

It looks like it will happen but at the moment they are having problems using the name Bahrain Air, might have to change it. Also the were interviewing cabin crew yesterday.

Hi, Thanks for the information. Can anyone tell us who are the Owners and the current management? The type of aircrafts they are going to operate, destinations planned to fly to or any information will be much appreciated.

It's owned by 1 of the Bahraini royal family & a Saudi businessman(at the moment). They will get A320s & be doing intra-gulf flights which will all be day trips. An exGF CEO called I. AL H. is the new boss & head of ops is Cap A. Y. exGF & exBexair.

Heard there are problems already for the new airline. Something about the division of the shares between the guy here & the guy across the causeway.

So much for the support of the government if one of the royal members is creating an airline to compete with GF.

Found out that the destinations are; Alexandria (Egypt), Damascus, Amman, Dubai, Khartoum & Beirut beginning of the second week of January 08. Traffic rights obtained & the birds are on the way. Let us all watch the birth of a new low cost airline in the gulf. This coming days will prove if it is true or just a rumor.
