(1) On a cross country flight from A to B, distance 135 nm, due to crosswind, the aircraft drifts and ADF reads 190 degree at a distance of 90 nm,how many degree of hdg correction should applied to converge to the station.

(2) In the southern hemisphere, the mean sea level pressure at destination is less than at the base. if you fly a single heading, the initial heading will be. a. along the isobar b. to the left of track c. to the right of track

(3) A DGI in an aircraft is corrected to give zero drift when the aircraft is stationary on the ground in latitude 50 deg.North. assume the gyro to be frictionless and perfectly balanced. The gyro is initially set to read 096 deg. having flown West along the parallel of 20deg.South for 110 minutes at a ground speed of 270 kt, the DGI would read.
a. 129.4 deg. b. 123.5 deg c. 111 deg d. 104.8 deg

2. In the southern hemisphere the winds around a high pressure area (anticyclone) rotate anticlockwise, and around a low pressure area (depression) rotate clockwise.
Thus when flying from high to low pressure the winds will be from the right, so your initial heading will be right of track.
