RYANAIR DIRECT ENTRY CAPTAINS

Dunno about that. They DO have a direct exit captains' scheme! :) All you need to qualify is to express concerns about safety issues, not take sh*t from above, and run a good operation.

I thought perhaps you'd applied but not heard or received conflicting information or something else that made you feel the need to ask here rather than approach Ryanair themselves.

I think that they are recruiting any pilots they can get a hold of. As for the salary, it depends on the base and if you have a type-rating or not. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

With regard to recruiting direct entry captains in Ryanair, I have been told that they do not recruit any for the moment but ask people to work for them through Brookfield Aviation as contract pilots. . .. .Apparently these contracts have no scheduled days off, no holiday, no insurance, pension etc. just a 100 hours 28 day limit and 900 hours annually and 134 Euros pr. block hour all inclusive.. .. .Anyone has any knowledge about this?

They don't even answer to aplications!. .They are rude!. .I don't want to fly for such an "airline"!

I know Brookfield supplied pilots to Ryanair, but that is a long long time ago. Are you sure Brookfield is still in business? In any case, if you go with Ryanair, or any other airline, as a contract pilot, you get x amount of USD or GBP per month and insurances, loss of license, income tax etc. etc. is your business.. .. .I wonder why Ryanair is flirting with Brookfield again (if that`s what they are doing)? May be people did not want to pay GBP 50 to register online. Or may be sensible pilots think twice about joining this airline. Who knows, may be it is not so easy for Ryanair to attract professional aviators anymore. . .. .And if you should get an offer via an agency, make sure everything what is "normal" to get as a contract pilot is in your contract.
