What is the general position of Belgian pilots towards low fares carrier Ryanair? Do they employ any Belgian nationals out of Charleroi?

So far I know, they haven't hired a singel Belgian pilot. (But they hired 30 Dutch ones?!?!)

And yes, I do not like Ryanair.
- Asking money for viewing your resumé is one illegal and two a very bad example for other companies.
- Flying from a Belgian base, and not having a single Belgian pilot, is just arogant.
- Using the Belgian goverment support money to give away free tickets (which was BTW not a succes). Is just f***ing the Belgian people.
- and so on.

Flying from a Belgian base and not having a single Belgian pilot is just sensible.

Thanks to the outrageous industrial behaviour of Belgians in recent history, I'd say your prospects are a bit grim for the next couple of centuries or so. But then again, you could always strike!

Hold at Saffa,

I'm a belgian citizen, not a pilot and I'm
sure glad to see Ryanair in Belgium.
Ryanair arrogant& using taxpayer money ?
What about Sabena on life support since the sixties, sucking our taxes & shaming Belgium by their worlwide bad reputation.
Long life to Ryanair, we love you ( even if your 737s are dirty :-)
And TopFly if you aren't happy with the way Ryanair treat their potential employees, don't apply with them !!

As far as I'm aware, FR are acutely aware of the problems presented by BeCA as Hold at Saffa has pointed out. Just ask anyone at VEX or EAT about the damage they did there!

I understand that Belgian pilots that meet the minimum criteria (hint for TopFly: when they ask for 500 hours on type, that doesn't mean 300 or even 495 - it's 500! )are being employed ... but not for the Belgian bases.
