Nail the drug smugglers and get some live practice at the same time.

Could prove a tempting role:

Oh no, don't tell me, the Nimrod can do this too . . . . . :E

The Nimrod could probably do it more accurately and effectively, after all air-dropping torpedo's is part of what it was designed for.

Yeah but the Aardvark is designed to sniff things out with its nose.:}

Edited to add,

Just like the Torrey Canyon - almost :}

I would be interested how the stingray behaved once it hit that sea.

Do you mean in a "is that the trough of a wave or the side of a ship" respect?

Still rather good to watch.

THS, no post water entry.

Once in the water the FIAM is discarded and the weapon enters a powered dive along the flight path plus/minus a hook angle. All the while its gyros need to erect.

If it got thrown into that sea it might even adopt a hook angle in the vertical plane and leave the water or plunge straight down.

I watched one once that ran upside down. Entertaining.

Hell, it looked accurate and effective enough to me.

There's no pleasing some people, is there?!

What an utterly fatuous statement. How could it possibly be more accurate? How could it possibly be more effective?
Naturally, flying a Nimrod down to AU to drop a £££££ torpedo would be much more cost effective than launching a single Pig with 2 x HE (presumably GBU -10).:confused:
BTW, WTF are "torpedo's"?
