Hi all,

One of our students who has had a heart transplant has just passed his NPPL GST.

Question: is he the first heart transplant patient to get a pilot's licence in the UK?

Anyone know,

Thanks

Don't know if he's the first, but I hope he's not the last.

In my view, brilliant - to gain his NPPL after firstly overcoming the sort of ill health that (hopefuly), most of us will never have the misfortune to experience in our lifetime.

Well done

ariel

Hi,

Thanks for your good wishes for him.

Ironically, his heart seemed to pack in after a holiday flight! Until then he'd never had any problems. (Don't know if it was a holiday virus that showed its effects at the end of the hols, or it was a blood clot type of thing).

Just shows, you can't keep a good man down!
