Hello

I am employed by a US low cost flying A319's and about 2800 TT
I just started flying but I understand that when I reach 500 hours I should be marketable in the "contract jobs" environment. My goal would be to make as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time possible
Can somebody give advice in that matter
thank you

My advice.
If you want to go the Contract route do it as Captain not as First Officer.
There are more choices for experienced Captains. There is an ever increasing demand for experienced, type rated Captains and terms and conditions are starting to reflect this.
Another important consideration is that most companies employing contract Pilots do not upgrade First Officers - so being a contract First Officer is a dead end job.
I'm a contract Pilot because my last airline went bankrupt - most of my colleagues are contract Pilots for the same reason.
If your goal is to make as much money in as short a time as possible then I'm afraid you're in the wrong Industry. :hmm:
