Rumour has it on Thursday morning a G3 corporate jet taxied into the new Anglo Dornier jet on the Anglo ramp here at ORT.The winglet of the G3 sliced a hole in the right wing of the Dornier jet.Damage is quite severe!!The Dornier had to cancell its flight and will be out of action for a few days/weeks?
Rumour has it that the G3 ZS-TEX signed a few papers and within a hour was on its way again.?One believes this did no go down well with Anglo!:*

Dornier damage not as servere as first thought. Anglo is hoping to have their aircraft up and running by the end of this week. G3 pilots are being investigated for taxing recklessly and not completing a thorough pre flight before departing. On going investigation.

That a/c comes down to the Cape on SAAF charters quite a lot. Does some pretty interesting approaches into Ysterplaat every now and then.

Was working the other day when it arrived and the could not even see the field from downwind, despite it being CAVOK!!! When I then suggested they come across to FACT, they found Ysters - quite an interesting approach....

Was that ZS-TEX or Anglo's Dornier??

They always say us Kappies are behind the times - did not even know Anglo had a Dornier!

How long they had it for and what they use it for ?
