today i received my ppl aplication form and logbook back from the caa becuase of three errors. the money error is not a problem, just a lack of checking changes to charges scheme, but section 7(certification of course completion) was not signed, and worse:confused:, my intsructor (who's prob left the school) forgot to sign my cross coutry certificate.

those last two elements should have been signed by the CFI and FTO at orlando flight training. problem is, i'm back in england now, start ATPL's next week:eek:

whado..i do?

You want to call 01293 573700 and find out what they want to be on the safe side!

Your ground school shouldn't even let you enrol on a course without a PPL, for reasons just like these!

It's an admin cock-up. A pain in the rear end to sort out but shouldn't be insurmountable by any means.

Phone the CAA, and the school. Determine what is needed and there should be someone at the school who can sign the paperwork for you and who is also acceptable to the CAA.

A few phone calls and e-mails to the right people should sort it out.

When I enrolled for distance learning at BGS over 4 years ago I was never asked to prove I had a PPL or otherwise. Can't recall but I guess they make it clear that you must have one and if you don't then it's their gain and your loss !

Doubt it's going to be an issue for you as you clearly have one already and I'm sure with the correct calls the paperwork will come together. It's a royal PITA when people that you pay, trust etc don't fill out forms correctly cos generally we don't know any better and trust them to fo things properly for us !

Sympathies and good luck.

Contact OFT and demand that they sort out the paperwork and make photocopies of everything before you send it back to the U.S.

I don't think it matters that the instructor has left because the CFI should be able to countersign it.

By the way, you need to have held a PPL for 3 months before you can take any ATPL exams.
