Prehaps someone can advise me and correct me if im wrong.

As far as I am aware, it is possible to validate an FAA licence in order to fly Manx (M) registered aircraft.

What documents are required and whom would I approach to obtain the validation?

Any contacts or web links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

FAA certificate to Manx validation - yes

http://www.gov.im/dti/Aircraft/aircraftforms.xml gives you the forms (and links to everything else you need to know).

Very straightforward process, you can also ring up the main man and chat with him if required. He's been around that long you probably have spoken to him before!

Flexible validations and a very can do attitude towards keeping the aircraft well maintained and flying and they are in our time zone. The death bell is ringing for the Cayman/Bermudan register in Europe just as soon as everybody realises.

Best thing we ever did.

PS Edited to note that you will get validated on a particular airframe and not on a type.

Can I put my plane on the M reg and then fly it with an FAA IR?

Yes - it's whether you'd get it on the Manx register that's the stumbling block.
